BNKR: Tell us about how you got started blogging.
Savi: I’ve been into fashion since the first year of college. I started my blog two years ago, at the beginning I constantly posted outfit photos and styling videos on my Weibo as a hobby. I really enjoy working on a photoshoot and editing a video, and sharing them with my readers and viewers. After a few months, I realized that this could be my full time job, because I know this is the thing I’ve been passionate about for a long time and never tired of it.
How would you describe your style?
I think my style has changed a lot since last year. I used to love minimalist and tomboy style, and now I’m obsessed with retro and effortless looks.
What are you most looking forward to doing while you’re in Australia?
It's actually my first time in Sydney, so all I want is to explore the city and try different local restaurants.
What do you love about Australian fashion?
I love how Australian fashion is effortless yet feminine. Also, the weather in Australia is perfect for mixing and matching and layering pieces.
Biggest trend for this season?
I’d love to try some bright colours, such as green, yellow and red, for this season.
Best beauty tip?
After washing your face, gently pat your favourite toner three to four times on your face for hydrated and glowing skin.
Who do you follow on Instagram/Weibo?
I really like Margaret Zhang and Yan Yan Chan from Australia. I also love some Parisian style bloggers like Adenorah, and Marta Cygan from Life of Boheme.
I don’t leave the house without…
I don’t leave the house without my sunglasses, even on cloudy days, since my eyes are sensitive to bright light - also I think sunglasses are part of my outfit!
What was your favourite thing about shooting with BNKR in Sydney?
It was my first time working with photographers other than my boyfriend and stylists other than myself. The BNKR team was really professional and made us really comfortable in all aspects throughout the shoot. We did six outfits in a day, which set my records! I really appreciate working with this amazing team.
